Pitti Immagine Bimbo 101 welcomes summer with the spirit of ‘Super Bike’

Florence gears up for the global kidswear fair where movement, balance and freedom take center stage in a joyful and colorful atmosphere.

The bicycle as a symbol of growth and independence

The 101st edition of Pitti Immagine Bimbo will be held on 25–26 June 2025 at Fortezza da Basso in Florence. Renowned as the world’s most important platform for kidswear and children’s lifestyle trends, the event returns this summer with an uplifting new theme: ‘Super Bike’.

More than just a toy, the bicycle is presented as a metaphor for a child’s development. It symbolizes movement, balance, freedom, and that magical moment of growing up when one learns to ride without training wheels. According to Agostino Poletto, General Director of Pitti Immagine, the bicycle is “a synthesis of summer and childhood,” merging sport, adventure and personal growth. It’s an object that belongs to both tradition and imagination, making it a perfect creative and emotional cue for the summer fair.

The fairground will feature imaginative setups and installations designed by architect Ilaria Marelli, turning the halls into a child-friendly city where the bike becomes both a visual and conceptual link between fashion, lifestyle and outdoor experience.

A showcase of global excellence in kidswear

As always, Pitti Bimbo will bring together top international brands and exciting emerging designers. Key exhibition areas include:

  • 100% Bambino: Featuring leading fashion brands for children.
  • The Kid’s Lab: Focused on creativity and cross-sector innovation with a strong emphasis on accessories and design.
  • The Nest: A curated space dedicated to the most promising up-and-coming labels, selected in collaboration with Little Pop Up.

The event attracts buyers, distributors, concept stores and fashion insiders from across Europe, Asia and the Americas. Its format encourages discovery, interaction and trend forecasting — making it a unique hub for shaping the future of children’s fashion.

Sustainability and creativity in motion

This summer’s Super Bike theme also intersects with broader trends in the sector: sustainable mobility, eco-friendly materials, and holistic childhood well-being. From smart fabrics to slow fashion collections, exhibitors are increasingly aligning with values that prioritize the environment and responsible production.

Special areas will also focus on ethical design, circular economy practices, and multisensory experiences that bring children’s products closer to nature and daily movement. The bicycle thus becomes a symbol not just of freedom, but also of forward-thinking creativity — a vision that Pitti Bimbo has long championed.
